About

That’s me. Up, close, personal, and in the flesh.
I’m a photographer. Contrary to popular beliefs, I don’t have any paper qualifications in Arts stream. During high school, I took Engineering Drafting and Engineering Technology as my majors, and I graduated from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) with an Associate Degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
I’m a strong believer of working with our passion. One of my professors said to me, “Jehan, you’re educated in Engineering field. Why do you want to pursue photography? It would be a waste of time here spent studying Engineering.”
I say that it wouldn’t be a waste of time. By studying Engineering, God awarded me with an analytical mind and an eye for details. I always asked myself, “How do they take that kind of photos?”. And I did some research on the technical aspects that could produce that kind of photos. And then I practice. Practice makes perfect.
Photography gave me reasons to further appreciate the beauty and the stories of the world surrounding us. Not everyone can be at any place at any given time. Thus, I felt compelled, as a fellow citizen of the world, to capture the moments that could be appreciated by anyone, any place, any time. We’ll never knew.
All the love from me,
J HanĀ®
